About 3 Counties Snowsports - 3CS

We:

• Promote the sports of skiing and snowboarding

• Facilitate the development and provision of high-quality instruction and coaching, enabling all participants to progress towards their personal goals

• Provide all our services in a way that is fair to everyone

The club introduces novices to our sport and helps develop established skiers. Our skiers’ age range is from 8 through to adults.

We can offer both beginner and improver instruction and teaching programs, as well as longer-term coaching for those wishing to continuously develop their skiing beyond basic skills (controlled turning)

We are particularly keen to work with anyone participating in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme at all levels, who wishes to use Skiing as their Physical activity. For those competent skiers at Gold level who wish to progress to Instructing, this could also be used as your Skill.

We are also able to work with your school to facilitate assessment of skiing for PE and Sports Science GCSE/A levels during school or family ski trips.

We encourage and support all skiers interested in competing in Dry Slope and Alpine competitions throughout the year, and who may wish to do training camps in the Alps with one of the many good ski academies. We have excellent relations with the Welwyn Garden CIty Ski Race Club, also operating at the Centre and we strongly encourage all those interested in competition at all levels to contact them and join their Club for Race training and development.

We can arrange Training for those wishing to progress down the route to Ski Instructor and Coach status, through our affiliation with Snowsport England and also other providing centres (such as The British Association of Ski Instructors, BASI, The Irish Association of Ski Instructors, IASI) We also have excellent links with training providers such as Interski and New Generation in the Alps should you be considering a Gap Instructor Training program.
